Delivery and installation are both in the price. The cabin is delivered and built in position, typically one to two days, rather than left on a pallet at the kerb. No minimum, nothing added at checkout, and nothing invoiced afterwards.

The Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are quoted individually, because the cost genuinely differs. Ask before you order and we will give you a firm figure.

You provide a level base rated for the loaded weight, close to a tonne once the heater, stones and four adults are on it, and a clear route from wherever a lorry can stop. The base is not included.

Four years on the timber construction and two years on the heater.

What it does not cover is published in the maker's own terms, and we would rather you read it here than find it afterwards. These cabins are not insulated. Solid timber is cut, dried and machined, and it can move slightly with the weather. And because a garden sauna is not heated continuously, the timber can pick up damp marks, mould or discolouring on the surface. The maker's position, in its own words, is that none of that damages the structure, and none of it is treated as a fault under the warranty.

That is the normal behaviour of solid timber standing outside through a British winter rather than a sign that something has gone wrong. Airing the cabin after a session and letting it dry properly is most of the answer.

This cabin is made to order in your choice of heater, roof colour and finish. Until production begins you can cancel and be refunded in full, with no reason needed.

Once production begins, made to order goods are treated differently under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and our returns policy sets out exactly where that leaves you. Anything that arrives damaged or faulty is ours to put right either way.

Why it is built without insulation

Side walls are 42mm solid logs; the front and back walls are 28mm tongue and groove. There is no insulation behind either, and that is the design rather than an economy. The mass of the timber is the insulation, which is how a traditional barrel works: it takes longer to bring up than an insulated cabin and it sheds heat faster once the fire is out. What you get in return is a cabin that behaves like a sauna rather than like a heated room, and a shape with no corners for heat to sit in.

The door opening measures 169 x 59cm. The door itself is timber as standard, and a tempered glass door is available at no extra cost if you ask when you order. Choose a full glass front and the glass door comes with it, because the door is part of that wall. The cabin weighs 650kg; add the heater, the stones and four adults and the loaded figure is close to a tonne, which is the number to design the base around rather than the cabin weight on its own.

Thermo treated Scandinavian spruce only. This cabin is also built in untreated spruce and we do not offer it. Thermo treatment is kiln modification with heat and steam rather than chemicals; it raises dimensional stability and resistance to rot, which is what a timber cabin standing in a British garden through a wet January is actually up against. It weathers to silver grey under UV, a surface change rather than a structural one.

The heater, and the only decision that matters

Three heaters, all Harvia, all supplied with split face stones. What separates them is not heat output. It is which trade you would rather deal with, and how much stone you want holding the heat.

Harvia Vega BC80, 8kW electric. Fitted as standard. Rated for 7 to 12 cubic metres, 20kg of stones, controls built into the heater. It needs a dedicated circuit installed and certified by an electrician: 8kW at 230V is about 35 amps, nowhere near a 13A plug, and a room containing a sauna heater is a special location under Approved Document P, so the work is notifiable in England. That visit is a separate cost. We would rather tell you here than after you have ordered.

Harvia M3, wood burning. 16.5kW, rated for 6 to 13 cubic metres, 30kg stone capacity. No supply, no electrician, no circuit, and no running cost tied to a unit rate.

Harvia Legend 150, wood burning. 16kW, same room rating, and 120kg of stone against the M3's 30kg. That is the whole argument for the Legend and it is checkable on Harvia's own data sheets: four times the stone mass holds four times the heat, so the steam is softer, it lasts longer between loads, and it recovers faster after a ladle of water. If you intend to use it properly and often, that is where the extra goes.
