Delivery & installation
Delivery is included in the price, kerbside to mainland Britain: England, Wales and mainland Scotland. The Scottish Highlands, islands and any address a lorry cannot reach are quoted in writing before dispatch, and if the figure does not suit you, cancel for a full refund. Northern Ireland: write to us before ordering. Nothing is added at checkout.
The cabin arrives flat, as insulated wall panels, roof and glass door, with the benches, heater and kit boxed separately. On an indoor cabin the question that matters is whether the largest panel turns your stairs, and we confirm that with the distributor for your address before anything is dispatched.
Installation can be arranged where you would rather not build it yourself. Once you place your order we confirm the delivery and installation options for your address, and nothing is dispatched until you are happy with both.
Warranty
Ten years on the woodwork and two years on the electronics, which are the terms Holl's publish for the Eccolo in its specification sheet.
The UK distributor administers the warranty and raises claims with the maker where needed. The cabin is sold for home use: commercial or very frequent use can affect cover.
Claims come to us. One email, and we deal with the distributor and the maker on your behalf rather than handing you a phone number.
Returns
Until the order is placed with the supplier you can cancel and be refunded in full, with no reason needed.
After that the cabin is on its way from the distributor, and our returns policy sets out exactly where that leaves you. Check the packages against the parts list on the day they arrive and tell us about anything damaged or missing within 48 hours; anything that arrives damaged or faulty is ours to put right either way.

About this product
The Eccolo 6 is a six seat indoor sauna 2,000mm wide, 1,750mm deep and 1,900mm tall, with two tiers of bench and abachi headrests. Its walls are a double skin with mineral wool insulation and a vapour barrier between, which is unusual at this price and is the reason Holl’s can run a room for six on a 4.5kW heater.
The heater is a Harvia Vega 4.5kW with 20kg of stones, and it is in the price, with the wooden bucket, ladle, thermometer and sand timer. Harvia specify it on a 20 amp fuse at 230V single phase, a smaller circuit than most four seat cabins need. It is controlled by a timer and a thermostat on the heater itself.
The door is tempered glass with a wooden handle, and a seven colour LED strip runs at headrest height. Holl’s give ten years on the woodwork and two on the electronics. It arrives flat and goes together indoors on a level floor, with the circuit fitted and certified by an electrician.

Who this is actually for.
Every product here is described with the honest opposite beside it: who it suits, and who should be looking at something else. If none of the descriptions below fits you, the right answer is elsewhere in the range, or elsewhere entirely, and we would rather say so.
Most six seat cabins need 6 to 8kW of heater and a 35 amp circuit. The Eccolo 6 is built with a double skin and mineral wool between, so Holl's pair it with a 4.5kW Harvia that Harvia specify on a 20 amp fuse. That is a smaller circuit than the four seat cabins in most ranges ask for.
Worth confirmingyou want a tall room. The cabin is 1.9 metres high outside, which is lower than Harvia's stated minimum room height for this heater. The pairing is the maker's and we set out what that means further down, but if headroom matters to you, look at the Utopia 4 at 1.96 metres.
The Harvia Vega, its 20kg of stones, the bucket, the ladle, the thermometer and the sand timer are all in the £4,769. The figure on this page is the figure for a working sauna, before delivery and the electrician.
Worth confirmingyou want a touchscreen, an app or a schedule. The Vega is run by a timer and a thermostat on the heater itself. The Utopia 4 has a touchscreen panel if that matters.
The product that gets used is the one worth recommending, and it is not always the largest one.
The measurements that decide it.
Read this before anything else. An indoor cabin is almost never sent back because it was the wrong product; it is sent back because it would not go up the stairs or stand up in the room.
The ceiling and the supply are the two to check. The cabin is 1.9 metres tall and the wall panels are tipped upright during assembly, so there has to be room above them. Harvia specify a 20 amp fuse and 3 × 2.5mm² cable for the 4.5kW Vega on single phase, which an electrician should confirm your board can give before you order.
From order to first use.
Here is each stage, and who does what. Delivery is estimated at 10 to 14 working days from order. If you would rather have stock, the date or anything else settled first, email hello@tarnfell.com before you order and we will confirm it in writing.

Order and room check
Ceiling height, floor, access and your consumer unit are agreed before the order is placed with the distributor. There is nothing to configure on the cabin itself.

The circuit
An electrician runs a 20A single phase circuit to the corner where the heater will hang and leaves it ready to terminate. A room containing a sauna heater is notifiable work, so this is not a job for a competent friend.

The cabin arrives flat as insulated wall panels, roof and glass door, with the benches, heater and kit boxed. Check everything against the parts list the day it lands, which is the easy time to find out.
- Build day
Two people, working from the manual
Wall panels up, door in, roof on, benches and heater guard fitted. The distributor's estimate is one to two days for two people. If you would rather hand it over, installation is arranged for your address once you have ordered.
- Before first use
The electrician returns
The heater is hung, connected and the circuit tested and certified. You should be handed a certificate. Then the stones go in, loosely, and the first heat cycle burns off the factory smell with the door open.
What owning one actually involves.
The handful of things that decide whether this is still in use in year three.
The Harvia Vega is controlled by a timer and a thermostat on the heater itself. Set both, wait for the stones to come up, and throw water when you want steam. There is no app and nothing to pair.
A double skin with mineral wool and a vapour barrier holds heat that a single panel wall lets through. It is the reason a six seat cabin runs on 4.5kW, and it means the heater spends less of each session working to hold temperature.
Abachi stays cooler to the touch than most timbers at sauna temperatures, which is why it is used where skin meets wood. Keep all of it bare: oils and varnishes bake and smell.
An unheated timber room in a house that breathes is where mould starts, and one cycle a month prevents it.
Nothing else inside. Detergents leave a film that bakes on the benches.

a few pounds, every few years
Harvia's 4.5kW Vega takes 20kg. They crack with use, are restacked yearly and replaced when they crumble. They are the only consumable part.

Reasons to buy something else.
The cabin is 1.9 metres tall outside, so the inside is lower still. If you are over six foot, you will duck through the door and sit rather than stand. The Utopia 4 is 1.96 metres.
The heater will not run from a socket. If a 20 amp circuit is not possible, an infrared cabin on a lighter supply is the honest alternative, and the Apollon range is built for that.
Two dials on the heater and nothing beyond them. It is simple by design.
A timber cabin wants a dry room with air moving through it. A sauna does not fix a cellar; it makes the problem worse.
