It chills the water itself and holds whatever temperature you set, with filtration and ozone sterilisation running on their own and no plumbing to connect. The trade is that you are buying a refrigeration machine rather than a tub: it wants a level drained spot, an earthed supply on a 30 mA RCD, and draining before a hard frost.

Delivery is included in the price, kerbside to mainland Britain: England, Wales and mainland Scotland. The Scottish Highlands, islands and any address a lorry cannot reach are quoted in writing before dispatch, and if the figure does not suit you, cancel for a full refund. Delivery is included in the price, to mainland Britain, direct to you. It travels on two pallets, so the driver needs somewhere to put them down and you need a route from there to where it is going to stand. We confirm the access your property needs with you in writing before the unit leaves.
Check the pallets on arrival. Any transit damage has to be reported within 48 hours of delivery, so unwrap and look before the day gets away from you.
Warranty
18 months, on the condition that the bath is registered with the manufacturer within 14 days of delivery. Registered later than that, or not at all, and the cover is 12 months.
Repairs have to be carried out by an F-Gas registered engineer. Spare parts are available for five years from purchase, which is a parts commitment rather than an extension of the warranty.
Two things the manufacturer excludes outright, both worth knowing before they happen: damage caused by running the unit without water, and corrosion of the stainless steel tank caused by chlorine tablets, disinfectants or other harsh chemicals.

Returns
Until the order is placed with the supplier you can cancel and be refunded in full, with no reason needed. Your statutory cancellation rights are set out in full in our returns policy.
Check the bath and its cover on the day it arrives, and tell us about anything damaged or missing within 48 hours with photographs. Anything that arrives damaged or faulty is ours to put right.
About this product
A single person plunge bath two metres long with a stainless steel tank, holding 270 litres at a standard fill and holding any temperature you set between 0 and 15°C. Filtration and a sterilisation cycle run on their own, the control is a waterproof touchscreen, and a reservation timer brings the water to temperature in time for your session.
It is an ice bath you must not put ice in: the manufacturer's manual rules out foreign objects in the tank because they block the internal pipes. The defrost setting makes its own ice against the tank wall instead.
Running cost, with the working shown. The manufacturer rates the unit at 500W, which is 0.5 kWh for every hour it runs at full power, about 13p at the Ofgem price cap unit rate of 26.32p per kWh (1 October to 31 December 2026, with no VAT on household electricity in that period). The absolute ceiling, full power for 24 hours, is 12 kWh or about £3.16 a day. Real use sits below that, because the unit cycles off once the water is at the temperature you set, as a fridge does. These figures are calculated from the rated power, not measured on an installed bath. Keeping the cover on is the cheapest thing you can do for the running cost.

Anywhere from 0 to 15°C in one degree steps, held by the machine. The reservation timer runs from 16 to 96 hours in eight hour steps, and the unit starts cooling by itself in time to hit your slot.
Worth confirmingFrom a standing start the manufacturer says it may take several hours to reach the temperature you set. This is a machine you plan around, not one you switch on when you fancy it.
132 kg dry, roughly 400 kg at the standard 270 litre fill, standing on four adjustable feet. The manual asks for a level, stable, structurally sound surface with drainage, and says water must not be allowed to collect underneath it.
Worth confirmingFour hundred kilos through four feet is a point load, and the manual asks you to verify the floor's load-bearing capacity before installation. On a timber floor, a balcony or a raised deck, get someone to look at the structure first.
Filtration runs continuously and sterilisation is a built in ozone system, on a schedule you can also trigger by hand from the touchscreen. There is no plumbing connection: you fill it, run it, and drain it from the outlet at the bottom.
Worth confirmingThe manual rules out chlorine tablets, disinfectants and other corrosive chemicals, and says the resulting corrosion of the tank is not covered by the warranty. If your idea of water care is a floating dispenser, this is not that product.
The unit is rated to operate between 0 and 43°C ambient. Sited outdoors it also wants a sunshade or rain canopy, and the manual says not to run it during rain, thunderstorms or strong winds.
Worth confirmingIf the air is going below freezing, the manual is blunt: stop using it, turn the power off and drain the water out completely. A British winter will ask you to do that more than once.
The three that catch people out are the frost rule, the no-ice rule and how short a session actually is. All three are the manufacturer's own instructions, and all three are easier to hear now than in February.

A base and a socket
A flat, level base for about 400kg at the standard fill, which is our arithmetic, and an earthed 220 to 240V socket on a 30mA RCD. No electrician is needed for the connection.

Two pallets
It travels on two pallets, so the driver needs somewhere to put them down and you need a route from there to where it will stand. Check the pallets on arrival and report any transit damage within 48 hours.

Fill to the 270 litre standard level with nothing else in the tank. The manual rules out ice and any other object, because they block the internal pipes. Then plug in. There is no installer to book.

Set it the day before
The manual says it may take several hours to reach a set temperature from a standing start, so set it the day before, then use the reservation timer to have it ready for each session.

Start with the line in the manual that stops people short. Do not introduce foreign objects into the tub, including ice cubes, as they may block the internal pipes. That is not a quirk. It is the whole design. Water circulates continuously through a filter and a sterilisation cycle, and a sealed refrigeration circuit takes the heat out of it. Drop in a bag of supermarket ice and you are feeding solids into a pump that is not expecting them. It is worth understanding what you are giving up, because the sums are not small. Water takes about 4.18 kilojoules to raise one kilogram by one degree, and ice absorbs about 334 kilojoules for every kilogram of it that melts. Dropping 270 litres by ten degrees therefore takes roughly 11,300 kilojoules, which is about 34 kg of ice. Every session. And the moment you finish pouring, the air starts warming it back up. This machine does it a different way. You set a temperature between 0 and 15°C on a waterproof touchscreen and it holds it. There is a defrost setting that builds a genuine ice-water mixture by freezing the water against the inside of the tank, with the freezing point adjustable between 3 and 8°C, so the ice you get is made in the tank rather than carried to it in bags. The trade is that you are buying a machine rather than a tub. It runs on R290, which is efficient and flammable, so it wants two metres of clear air between it and anything hot, ventilation openings kept clear, and a properly earthed supply behind a 30 milliamp RCD. And when the air outside is heading below freezing, it wants draining. None of that is a reason not to buy one. It is a reason to know before, not after.
The commitments nobody lists next to the price.

Modest as appliances go, but this is a refrigeration unit sitting beside 270 litres of water. The manual is specific: the unit must be connected to a properly grounded electrical system, with the earth permanently connected to the fixed wiring or plugged into a grounded socket on the building's fixed wiring, and the supply must be protected by a residual current device rated at no more than 30 milliamps. The connection detail for your installation is confirmed with you in writing before you order.
Level, stable and structurally sound, with drainage, and no standing water underneath. Outdoors the manual also asks for a sunshade or rain canopy, and says not to operate the unit during rain, thunderstorms or strong winds. Indoors it wants a well ventilated room. Either way, at roughly 400 kg filled on four feet, have the floor checked first.
Fill to at least the minimum level mark inside the tank: running it low lets air into the pump, and damage from running it without water is not covered. Nothing hotter than 40°C goes in. The filter is a paper core behind the front access panel, changed with a screwdriver, inspected regularly and replaced when it is dirty. Sanitation is a built in ozone system, which is why nothing else goes in: no chlorine tablets, no disinfectants, no corrosive chemicals. The tank is stainless steel and the resulting corrosion is not covered either.
The manufacturer publishes maximum immersion times and they are shorter than most people expect: one minute at 0 to 5°C, three minutes at 6 to 10°C, five minutes at 11 to 15°C. It also asks you to shower before getting in, to avoid using it straight after hard exercise or after drinking, and to speak to a doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart, blood pressure, circulatory or skin condition. Children only under adult supervision.
Rated for ambient temperatures from 0 to 43°C. If the air is expected to drop below 0°C the manual says do not operate the unit, turn off the power and drain the water completely. In Britain that is a job you will do most years, and it is the same routine as putting it away for a long break.
R290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant. It is efficient and it is flammable, which is why the two metre clearance and the clear ventilation openings are not optional. Repairs have to be carried out by an F-Gas registered engineer, and spare parts are available for five years from purchase.

500 W is 0.5 kWh an hour. At 26.32p per kWh that is 13.16p for every hour the unit is pulling its full rated power, which it does while it is working the water down to temperature.

24 hours at 0.5 kWh is 12 kWh, or £3.16. This is the ceiling and you should not expect to pay it, because the unit stops drawing full power once the water has reached the temperature you set.
the two real levers
Sleep mode stops the cooling and leaves only the self-circulating sterilisation running, which the manufacturer describes as reducing energy consumption. The reservation timer then brings it back to temperature in time for your slot. Between them they decide whether you are paying to chill water nobody is going to get into.
free, and people skip it
The manual lists a cover left off as one of the causes of slow or no cooling. Every degree the air puts back in is a degree the compressor has to take out again, so the cheapest thing you can do for the running cost is close the lid.
Assumptions: the manufacturer's rated power of 500 W, drawn continuously, which is the absolute maximum rather than a normal duty cycle; electricity at the Ofgem price cap unit rate of 26.32p per kWh, 1 October to 31 December 2026, with no VAT on household electricity in that period. A refrigeration unit cycles once the water is at temperature, exactly as a fridge does, so real use sits below every figure here. The manufacturer rates it for one adult and there is no larger version of this model. Squeezing is not an option you have.
The manufacturer's own maximum immersion times are one minute at 0 to 5°C, three minutes at 6 to 10°C and five minutes at 11 to 15°C. If you were picturing a long soak, picture something else.
The manual says not to put foreign objects into the tank, ice cubes included, because they block the internal pipes. The unit makes its own ice on the defrost setting instead.
No chlorine tablets, no disinfectants, no corrosive chemicals. Corrosion of the tank caused by them is excluded from the warranty.
Below 0°C ambient the manual says power it off and drain it. If you need a plunge that stays live through a British cold snap outside, this is not it.

None of this is unusual for the category. It is listed because finding it out after delivery is what turns a good purchase into a bad week.
